The name Christian is worn because Christ is the head of the church and as His body it belongs to
Him (Colossians 1:18; Matthew 16:12 and Romans 16:16). Biblically, the members of this church
are called Christians (Acts 11:26).
One becomes a member of this church upon the same conditions all believers have become a part
of the Lord’s church. Through faith in Christ (Matthew 16:16); repentance toward Christ (Acts 2:38);
confession of Christ (Matthew 10:31-33); and baptism by immersion into Christ (Mark 16:16 and
Galatians 3:27) is one added to the church (Acts 2:47).
We observe the Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day because the first Christians did (Acts 20:7). In
this communion, we remember the death of our Lord as well as the promise of His coming again
(I Corinthians 11:25-26).
The teaching and doctrine we follow are what have been given through Jesus Christ and the
Holy Spirit inspired apostles (John 16:13-14 and Galatians 1:8-9). We believe that the gospel of
Christ is sufficient for the salvation of mankind (Acts 4:10-12). The Bible is our only rule of faith
We are not the only Christians….just Christians only.
